We are Geoff and Adam, a father and son team who are excited to be participating in in Mystery Box Rally in 2025!!
Mystery Box Rally is one of the largest community lead fundraising events for Cancer Council in Australia having raised over $8 million in the last 12 years. This rally will have us driving a car that is 25 years or older along outback roads.
We will do approximately 2,500kms in 5 days. We set off from Broken Hill & return to Broken Hill 5 days later, each day in between is a mystery, we have no idea where we will be headed until just before departure the next morning.
Geoff and Adam have always enjoyed collecting and working on cars and motorbikes, which led to them starting their own automotive club, along with other enthusiasts who share a love for classic and original vehicles, and spending time in the garage 'tinkering'. It is a Bucket List goal to participate in the Mystery Box Rally together.
In order for them to participate we need to raise $4,000 and every dollar raised goes to Cancer Council. We would very much appreciate it if you could donate to the cause & help us on our journey!
Mystery Box Rally is a 5-day challenge like no other. Participants drive 25+ year old cars along a mystery route, through some of Australia’s most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It’s not a race—it’s a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that’s all part of the fun. The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way. And when the day’s drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day’s achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways—whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we’ll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
Founded in 2009, Box Rallies has raised well over $50 million for cancer research with our chosen beneficiary being Cancer Council.
We are proud to be the funder of national cancer research projects after the Australian Government. These enormous funds raised go towards vital cancer research projects.
