Call me crazy, but I’m doing it again because this rally is not just about the adventure—it’s about making a real difference in the fight against cancer.
Josh and I are taking part in the Mystery Box Rally 2025, embarking on an incredible journey for an even greater cause.
Cancer is a cause close to my heart. Both my husband and I have lost our fathers to this devastating disease. Their battles and the impact it had on our families have fueled our passion for supporting cancer research and programs that help others going through similar struggles.
The Mystery Box Rally is one of the largest community-led fundraising events for Cancer Council Australia, raising over $8 million in the past 12 years. By participating in this rally, I’m proud to contribute to funding life-saving research and support services that help those affected by cancer.
This year, the challenge will have us driving a car at least 25 years old over approximately 2,500km of outback roads. Starting and finishing in Broken Hill, every day of the rally is a mystery—we won’t know our destination until just before we set off each morning. It’s an adventure of a lifetime, filled with camaraderie, unpredictable terrain, and a shared commitment to a great cause.
To take part, I need to raise a minimum of $4,000, with every dollar going directly to Cancer Council.
Your support would mean the world to me, whether it’s through a donation, sharing my journey, or cheering me on from afar. Together, we can make a real impact and help fund research, prevention, and care for those facing cancer.
Thank you for joining me on this journey—let’s do something extraordinary together! Let's continue to help the research to find a cure for cancer.
GO TEAM "DAY DRUNK" !!!
Teams will drive their own 25+ year old cars along a mystery route in this unique 5-day challenge, all in the name of cancer research. The route is a loop starting and finishing at the same location, but all the other details are kept under wraps, only given to the teams each morning.
The rally is not a race – it’s a fun, colourful, unpredictable adventure with participants travelling at their own pace in smaller groups. Vehicles often break down but “we never leave anyone behind” and each night is spent camping beneath the stars and celebrating the day’s achievements. It all adds up to an incredible opportunity to see Australia’s vast and beautiful countryside and make lifelong friends, many brought together after experiencing cancer themselves or seeing cancer impact family and friends.
Since it’s inception the rally has been the largest fundraiser for the Cancer Council nationally.
Mystery Box Rally is a dedicated fundraising event for cancer research with funds going to Cancer Council.
Cancer Council is one of the largest non-government funders of cancer research in Australia. We conduct and fund research studies across all cancers and all stages of the cancer journey.
Thanks to the community funds raised such as Mystery Box Rally we can fund world-class research that reduces the impact of cancer for everyone.
$50 million over the past 15 years has been raised by Box Rallies to date, supporting ground-breaking projects such as:
These projects wouldn’t be possible without your support.
