Our Story …
Enid and I are really happy to announce that we're taking part in another Cancer Charity Rally, this time it’s the Mystery Box Rally in 2025!!
Mystery Box Rally is one of the largest community lead fundraising events for Cancer Council in Australia having raised over $8 million in the last 12 years.
This rally will have us driving the ‘WAG UTE’ which is eligible because it is 25 years or older, along outback roads. What could possibly go wrong 🤪
We will do approximately 2,500kms in 5 days setting off from Broken Hill and returning to Broken Hill 5 days later. Each day in between is a mystery, we have no idea where we will be headed until just before departure the next morning …. It’s a MYSTERY ! 😃
In order for us to participate we need to raise a minimum of $4,000 for the Cancer Council.
Enid and I appreciate every donation made, be it $1 or $1,000,000 (Twiggy or Gina if you are reading this 😉) and would like to thank everyone for their support as we raise money for a Cause that in some way, either directly or indirectly, has or continues to impact so many ❤️

Here's what I'm doing …
Mystery Box Rally is a 5-day challenge like no other. Participants drive 25+ year old cars along a mystery route, through some of Australia’s most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It’s not a race—it’s a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that’s all part of the fun. The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way. And when the day’s drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day’s achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways—whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we’ll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.

Founded in 2009, Box Rallies has raised well over $50 million for cancer research with our chosen beneficiary being Cancer Council.
